Tracey Jenkins Testimonial
My name is Tracy Jenkins.
I am 42 years old and a mother of 2 boys who are 5 and 10 years old. I
spend most of my time with the kids but worked half days last year in the
office of the preschool my youngest attended.
In Dec. '04 I was
diagnosed with cutaneous lupus (lupus of the skin). This diagnosis
came after several months of evaluation by various doctors as to whether
or not I exhibited symptoms of systemic lupus (lupus throughout the body).
Systemic lupus was eventually ruled out. Thinking I should feel thrilled
that I did not have systemic lupus, I proceeded into the holiday season.
At this point I began developing
heart palpitations. They came on slowly, just occasional thumps
in my chest. They developed into thumping and bumping that sometimes
lasted
2 hours or more leaving me breathless. I went to the
emergency room one night when one episode became particularly alarming.
The doctor diagnosed the palpitations as premature atrial contractions
that were not life threatening but certainly uncomfortable. It was
suggested that I see a cardiac specialist to ascertain why the
palpitations were occurring.
At this point my sister,
who is a M.D. with holistic interests and previously been treated by
Gregory Lee, recommended I see him. Given the emergency room doctor
indicated the palpitations were not life threatening, I thought it
reasonable to seek out alternative therapies.
I was tired of going to specialist
after specialist. I live in North Carolina,
so I scheduled an appointment with Mr. Lee over our Christmas vacation to
visit family in DC. I was a little nervous about acupuncture because I am
not very good with needles.
When Mr. Lee began our initial session
spending time explaining the steps of Remembrance and then making me
practice them there in the office, I thought, "This was wasting
time. When was I going to get to the acupuncture part?"
It turned out that
practicing the Remembrance was all I
needed. Mr. Lee did do some acupuncture to improve my
"symmetry" but said he felt if I practiced the Remembrance steps whenever
I felt tense, anxious or had palpitations, I would see improvement.
I was amazed how
effective Remembrance was and is. I was in the DC area for a
week with medication in hand in case the palpitations became unbearable.
Instead I practiced Remembrance every time I felt them (4x that week) and
never used the medication…each time
within 1-2 minutes I was able to stop the palpitations. The
palpitations stopped after that first week. Since that first week, I have
used Remembrance as a stress reducer and as a type of meditation, even
when things are going really well. I have felt a lot healthier and happier
as a result.
Remembrance acts to center
yourself, your thoughts and feelings, and calls on your higher healing
power for assistance. As hokey as that sounds, it works.
I am forever grateful to Mr. Lee for providing me this tool.
Who knows how many specialists, how many tests and medication I would have
had to endure had it not been for Mr. Lee's treatment.
Thank-you, Mr. Lee.
